One whole month dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer. Early detection is key in any disease and as a woman, or a even for a man, prevention and early detection is the real control that we have. I am an advocate for strengthening the regulation on the ingredients that are allowed in our skin care. My company, Beautycounter, and my team work together by offering solutions in the form of education and in the form of a product line. Our mission is to get safer products in the hands of everyone. We are partnered up with Breast Cancer Fund, Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and Healthy Child Healthy World. Our products are also EWG certified. I am part of this mission for my own prevention part of the real control that we have. As far as early detection…mammogram at 40 is what they recommend. However, as a woman and being my own advocate, I recommend going a step further with Thermography, especially if you are at risk at all. We have the means to get early detection, we just need to use our voice and be our own advocates.
